It may be a little bit weird but it is real, a large percentage of males suffer from breast enlargement or gynecomastia. The enlargement of the breast in males causes a lot of embarrassment between men and causes them to isolate from their societies especially in teenage cases. Boys tend to tease each other regarding their breast size and many teenagers who suffer from this syndrome do not want to participate in sports or activities.

The known causes for this case are not very well defined but it include hormonal disturbance of estrogen and testosterone, excess fat storage in this particular area and hereditary factors. If the breast enlargement is due to hormonal disturbance, it is self cured when the case is over 18 years because the hormones tend to balance after this period causing the breast to regain its normal size. Cases induced by hereditary factors or due to fat storage may need surgical interference to remove the stored fat.
